Boys Winter Rec

program information

Boys Rec has 2 divisions

  • MS & Elementary
    • Players in 3rd-8th grade
    • Teams practice 1x a week at MFH
    • Teams play in our 6 power league weekends at MFH from January-March
  • High School Rec
    • 9th-12th grade players
    • Teams practice 1x a week at MFH
    • Teams play in 5 out of 6 power league dates
    • HS Volleyball first practice date will be March 9th for Indiana schools. Rostered HS athletes won't be allowed to play in our last event. If your school doesn't offer volleyball, then you will be able to play in the last event. 
  • We are going to try to have enough to play only boys' team, but if we don't then they will have to play against girl's teams

      • 11:00-1:00PM

All teams will practice at the Mishawaka Fieldhouse.

Practice times are TBD
- 10/12U will be a 1.5hr practice 1x a week with a time slot of Mon-Fri 5-9PM
-14U/HS will be a 2hr practice 1x a week with a time slot of Mon-Fri 5-9PM

All boys rec teams play tournaments at the Mishawaka Fieldhouse (6155 Veterans Parkway, Mishawaka, IN)

25-26 Season Power League Tournament Dates 

  • January 11, 2026
  • January 25, 2026
  • February 8, 2026
  • February 15, 2026
  • February 22, 2026 (Last event for HS ages teams)
  • March 14-15, 2026
    • 2-day Championship Finale

Teams will mostly play in 3 team pools

  • play 2 matches and ref 1
  • if numbers don't allow all 3 team pools, teams should also be prepared to take a turn in 4, 5 or 6 team pools when needed

Teams will have the option to choose their playing waves for the whole season or change each week based on team/coach needs

  • AM wave times: 8:00-11:30am start time
  • PM wave times: 12:00-6:00pm start time

Tournament schedules are posted the Wednesday before each event.  You will know your wave timeframe and dates you play at the start of the season (minus any changes in wave times requested by coach/team).  

All boys will make a team. We will place you on a team after tryouts on Nov 23rd. 

Please give us 48 hours to be placed on a team.

Each player gets 2 t-shirt uniform tops and a pair of shorts 

  • sizes are selected when you register
  • 25-26 rec colors: kiwi green and black

Uniform pickup will be January 4th in conjunction with picture day.

We do have optional spirit wear that can be purchased.  A link to the store will be shared closer to season.
