PROGRAM Information

Our Boys Travel teams are moving to the fall this year.
Since this is our first time moving boys to the fall we are unsure what the numbers are going to look like but we are planning on having a 12s, 14s, 16s & 18s. We aren't making Nationals a requirement this year but any team that is wanting to add nationals we will talk as a team about the options. There will be an extra cost for any team wanting to add Nationals.

14U:

  • Pay in full price: $1100

15U:

At your first team meeting (Sep 8th 6:30-7:00PM) the following months (Oct-Feb) will be talked about for practice times.

Players have to attend tryouts to be placed on a team.  If you are unavailable to attend tryouts please fill out THIS FORM so we can evaluate you and place you on a travel or rec team based on your skill level.

Team rosters will be posted by August 26th
*If you do not make a travel team we will have boys rec teams available*

Teams are picked from 1 tryout evaluation.  Players will be ranked by overall skill, position, hustle and attitude. 

This allows players to develop on a team with similar skill sets since we have new players through varsity experienced players.

IHSAA rules state only 3 players from a rostered high school team can play together in the offseason and MHSAA rules state up to 4 players.  We have to work to ensure we have team composition needs while adhering to these rules.

Each player will need to order 2 Under Armour jerseys a pair of shorts through 431 Sports.

At practice, we want them to get as many touches on the ball doing things the right way.  We want coaches and players engaged, active and learning.  We believe in training all ages in all the volleyball skills to make well rounded players.  As they progress, we will start to focus on position specific skills in addition to whole group training.

At tournaments, expect to be there for several hours.  They usually play in 3 or 4 team pools so they each get the equivalent of 3 matches a day (6 sets).  For the younger ages, the goal is growing the game and developing players so everybody will get to play every match.  This doesn’t mean they will play the whole time but will get close to equal playing time amongst the boys.  At the high school level, the stronger players will get more playing time but everyone will play every tournament, just not every match.  Practice time directly affects playing time so the boys that attend practices, hustle and have a good attitude will play more.
