PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
Katie played at Three Rivers High School as a middle blocker and earned First Team All-Conference her junior and senior years.  She also played travel volleyball with Dead Frog out of Kalamazoo, MI, during her four high school years.

Katie then went on to play volleyball at Bethel University all 4 years.  While, there she had several different roles: middle blocker, outside hitter, setter and was the libero her senior year, her favorite position of them all!

After college, she played with former teammates and coaches on a women’s club team for a couple seasons.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:  
Katie has over 10 years coaching experience.  She has coached many different levels and age groups, both in club and school volleyball.  She was the head coach at Berrien Springs High School for 5 years where they won several tournaments as well as a District Championship.

Katie has coached with NIVA since 2019.  She coached in our rec program at the 10U, 12U and 14U age groups.  She then moved to our travel division and coached at the 12 Elite and 13 Elite levels.

In 2024, Katie was the 8th grade coach at Schmucker Middle School and started coaching our National travel teams.

PERSONAL:
Katie lives in Osceola with her husband, Matt, and their children, Charlee, Josie & Judah with their dog, Norman.  She also works as a barre instructor at Pure Barre in South Bend.
