PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
Inspired by an energetic gym teacher named Mrs. Frye, Amanda started playing volleyball in the 5th grade. Wanting to become a more competitive athlete, she started playing for the Shank You travel program in the winter of her 7th grade season as a middle blocker. Finishing her high school travel career under Coach/NIVA Director Adria. She also attended Concord High School in Elkhart, making JV as a freshman and varsity as a sophomore.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
Amanda started coaching as a volunteer club coach for the Concord Feeder program a few years ago. 2024-2025 was her first travel season with NIVA coaching the 13U Grey team. She is excited to continue coaching at NIVA and to learn new coaching strategies. Previously she has also coached little league and travel softball.

PERSONAL:
When she isn’t coaching, Amanda spends her time tending to her many houseplants and reptile pets. She lives in Mishawaka with her boyfriend Josh and their dog Shadow. She is also a server at the Crooked Ew Brewery in South Bend. Her younger sister plays for NIVA and they enjoy renting courts at the fieldhouse in their free time to work on new skills or just have fun playing volleyball as a family.
