Director

Kaitlyn serves as the Assistant Director at NIVA and is also the Head Coach of the highly regarded Penn High School volleyball program. Her leadership, elite playing background, and deep competitive insight make her an essential part of the club’s continued growth and success.

As a high school athlete, Kaitlyn earned widespread respect, capturing two IHSAA 4A State Championships and receiving the prestigious Mental Attitude Award in her senior year—recognizing athletes who exemplify integrity, sportsmanship, and academic excellence.

She continued her volleyball journey at IUPUI, where she was a four-year starting outside hitter for the Jaguars. Her collegiate career was distinguished by both team success and record-breaking individual achievements:

  • 3 Conference Championships and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2013

  • IUPUI’s all-time leader in career solo blocks and career kills

  • Ranked 4th in career digs

  • One of only three players in NCAA history (in the 25-point rally era) to record 1,500 kills and 1,500 digs

  • Summit League Freshman of the Year

  • 4× First Team All-Summit League

  • Summit League MVP (2015)

  • 2× AVCA All-America Honorable Mention

  • Recipient of the Michael Carroll Scholarship and the Mel Garland Distinguished Student-Athlete Award

  • Academic All-Summit League, Dean’s List every semester, and direct admit to the Kelley School of Business

Kaitlyn’s achievements as both a student and athlete highlight her exceptional work ethic, leadership skills, and volleyball intelligence. She has had the opportunity to play for, compete with, and coach alongside many of the sport’s top minds and continues to build valuable connections within the collegiate volleyball world—resources that directly benefit NIVA athletes aspiring to play at the next level.

As NIVA’s Assistant Director, Kaitlyn oversees recruiting coordination, player fees, and the independent feeder program. Her competitive experience, coaching acumen, and dedication to athlete development make her a standout leader and an integral part of NIVA’s mission to empower and elevate young volleyball players.
