High-school-aged players participate in NIVA's house league rather than a school feeder.

All divisions play at Mishawaka Fieldhouse on six scheduled weekends from January through March.

Girls Rec FAQ

What is included in fees?
Fees include player and coach insurance, practices, tournaments, equipment, coach pay, two uniform tops, and 12 free spectator entries for each player across the power league season. Families receive two entries per weekend, but the 12 entries may be used however they choose.
What is not included in fees?
Spectator admission beyond the included entries is not covered. Additional spectator admission is $5 per person at Power League tournaments.
What is a feeder?
A feeder is NIVA's recreational program connected to a local school system. Coaches from your school program run the offseason feeder through NIVA, players practice at local school gyms, and athletes train with coaches connected to the school they may represent in the future.
What is the Power League?
The Power League is NIVA's internal tournament series for NIVA rec teams and participating outside teams. Results and points are tracked throughout the season, and the series concludes with a two-day finale where teams compete for a championship in each division.
Who sets feeder tryouts and practices?
Each feeder sets its own information meeting, evaluation or tryout process, and practice schedule. Some feeders use evaluations only, some make cuts, and others roster every registered player. NIVA also offers house feeder teams that are open to players from any school. If a player is not selected for a school feeder team, they may join a NIVA house feeder team.
What do I do if my school doesn't have a feeder?
Players whose schools do not have their own feeder are rostered on one of NIVA's house feeder teams, where no cuts are made. Coaches interested in starting a feeder should email nivajrs@gmail.com.
Where are club-wide play dates held?
All rec teams play their power league dates at Mishawaka Fieldhouse, 6155 Veterans Parkway, Mishawaka, Indiana.
