PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
While having played several sports in high school, Nate didn’t find his true love for volleyball until his adult years. In the past two years, Nate has played in several outdoor and indoor leagues. When not playing, he can be found watching videos or reading books in efforts to learn the sport and improve his own volleyball skill.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
Nate is the 7th grade coach at Discovery Middle School. In his first successful year as coach, he led his team to a 12-1 regular season record and finished the season as the Big 11 conference runner-up champions.   He just finished another successful year as the head coach.

With his emphasis on developing positive relationships and maintaining an “adjust we must” philosophy, Nate’s coaching style always looks for ways to improve, one rally at a time.

Nate has been coaching travel at NIVA since 2023.  He has coached our Select and National travel teams.

PERSONAL:
Nate lives in Osceola and works at Discovery Middle School in Granger, IN. Additionally, Nate is a multi-instrumental musician and private teacher.
