PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
Julie attended Dowagiac Union High School where she played as a setter and a DS on Varsity for three years.  She was named to Second Team All-Conference! She continues to play sand leagues/tournaments.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
Julie has been coaching volleyball since 2000.  She started her career as the JV coach at Dowagiac for 2 years.  She then coached Elkhart Memorial Freshman from 2002-2008 where she had a 32-0 year and hit 100 wins in her 4th year coaching.

After a successful sting at the high school, Julie moved to her children’s elementary where she coached 5th and 6th grade volleyball for 5 years.

Julie has also coached at West Side Middle School the past 2 seasons.

This is Julie’s 23rd year coaching club.  She has coached 10-14 rec teams, high school rec teams, and 12-14 travel teams.  She has coached at both the Elite and National level travel teams.

Outside of volleyball, Julie has coached high school softball, youth flag football, and little league softball and baseball.

PERSONAL:
Julie is a teacher at Elkhart HS.  She lives in Elkhart with her husband, Jeff Miller, and 2 children, Cade and Camryn. Her family has horses, goats, dogs, and cats.
